Swedish Massage is a deep firm massage using a natural oil which, apart from being a massage lubricant, also nourishes the skin. Swedish massage applies a variety of different types of moves using mainly hands but sometimes forearms and elbows the therapist will work over the legs, tummy, arms, back, neck and shoulders to release tension and stress and soothe aching and tired muscles. The pressure used in swedish massage can be varied to suit the individual client.

When muscles have been overworked, through stress or exercise, waste products such as lactic acid can accumulate in the muscles, causing soreness, stiffness and even muscle spasm. A Swedish massage can alleviate these conditions through boosting the circulatory and immune system which benefits blood pressure, circulation, muscle tone, digestion and skin tone, thereby leaving the client feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Following a consultation for Swedish massage, you will relax on a couch whilst the therapist carries out the treatment which will last between 50 and 60mins. During the Swedish massage treatment you will be covered in towels to keep you warm and maintain your privacy. Lower underwear is kept on and females can, if preferred, keep their bra on during the treatment and just unclip it whilst the back is being massaged.
