Q. Will I need to undress if coming along for a treatment?
A. During reflexology it is only necessary for the therapist to be able work with your feet, so only shoes and socks/stockings/tights need to be removed. With Indian Head Massage or Reiki there is no need to remove any clothing. If attending for aromatherapy or massage then you will need to remove your clothes down to your lower underwear. Females may keep there bra on if preferred but will need to be unhooked when the back is worked upon. You will, however, be covered in towels at all times to keep you warm and maintain your privacy. You will also be advised to remove all jewellery except wedding rings.
Q. What parts of the body are treated during a treatment of Massage/Aromatherapy?
A. A massage will cover the front and back of legs and arms, tummy, shoulders, neck and back. In Aromatherapy a facial is also included (although this is optional) and so preferably no make up should be worn and the hair worn loose.
Q. How long will a treatment take?
A. It is dependent on the client but generally:
- Reflexology - 40mins
- Swedish Massage - 45-60mins
- Aromatherapy - 60-75mins
- Reiki - 30-40 mins
- Indian Head massage - 30 mins
- Sports Massage - 60mins
Q. How frequently can I have a treatment?
A. Generally all complementary thereapies are best not repeated within a week to get full benefit from them.
Q. Will I require a course of treatments?
A. Your Therapist will discuss this with you when you attend. If attending for a specific condition, then a course of four to six treatments may well be beneficial. Many clients, however, like to make a visit as a monthly (or weekly!) treat to themselves.
Q. Are you fully qualified and insured?
A. Yes I hold a VTCT qualification in Holistic Therapies and am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. My insurance has cover for £3million Treatment Liability and issued by the Therapy Insurance Services Ltd.
Q. Is there a female Therapist available for female clients?
A. At the moment I am the only therapist at The Natural Touch. If a female client particularly wants a female therapist then I would be more than happy to recommend one to you. Naturally their scale of charges would then apply.
